  37. I am looking for a 2m mobile SSB rig.  The only two that I can find are
  38. the Yaesu FT-290R and the Kenwood TS-751.  I have several pieces of
  39. Yaesu equipment and they are outstanding.  I have only one piece of
  40. Kenwood equipment and have had only one problem with it that took about
  41. three months to get fixed.  Can anyone give me any comments or
  42. recomendations.....  Thanks

  95. I've followed various GPS threads as they've come and gone.  In order to pose 
  96. volume/price arguments to folks in the business, what would be the size of the 
  97. amateur market for GPS engines?
  98.  
  99. Presume an engine consists of the entire RX, minus antenna, including a data 
  100. port (probably NMEA 0183), on a PC board.  Examples are currently manufacured 
  101. by Rockwell, Magellan, Canadian Marconi, Plessey, and Trimble, among others.  
  102. Marketed in the $500 class for single-unit quantities.

  129. Intuitively, the only way to decrease the SWR is to increase the
  130. amount of power that is adsorbed by the load resistance.  Adding
  131. reactance in series with the resistance can only decrease the
  132. voltage that the resistance sees, and reduce the power it is adsorbing.
